Relax by the pool in a jasmine scented garden
The Baan Pra Nond is a small family run bed and breakfast in the home of a former Supreme Court Justice of Thailand built some 70 years ago. This hotel is an oasis of calm within the busy Silom area. All 9 rooms are decorated in vintage style. Guests will have an experience similar to staying in a small bed and breakfast in rural England, albeit with a distinctly Thai feel.
Tasma, who runs the hotel with her husband Jason, is the granddaughter of the original owner. The great strength of this hotel is the service they provide. This is not a hotel with a wide range of facilities; there isn't a bar or a restaurant. However, Tasma and Jason make guests feel welcome with friendship, support, good advice, and a home cooked breakfast, which changes daily. Bangkok can be an intimidating experience for the uninitiated, the benefit of friendly and impartial advice shouldn't be underestimated. The residence has a nice homely feel. The original property has been sensitively restored and retains the feeling of a family home. We like the small garden courtyard and swimming pool. There are few hotels with outdoor spaces in central Bangkok.
The 9 rooms are grouped into four types. There are four standard rooms (17sqm), three deluxe rooms (20sqm), one grand deluxe (25sqm) and a master suite (28sqm). All rooms are beautifully decorated, en-suite and benefit from free WiFi access.
