Part hotel, part gallery
Since opening in 2007, this awarding boutique hotel from young Thai artist Khun Pylin Sanguaniyapand has gained significant notoriety with reviews from publications such as Conde Nest Traveller, The Guardian, Elle and Grazia magazine. Seven Hotel is a micro hotel near both Stytrain and metro stations, and is literally covered in art. Each guest room is colour coded, with murals to match, and the hotel features its own gallery for Asian artists.
The seven spaces - (6 guest rooms and one common area) in the hotel are themed around the days of the week. In Thailand, as in ancient Rome, each day of the week is associated with a celestial body, which in turn has a colour associated with it. The common area or '7th Heaven' is Sunday, which is given the colour red after the sun. 7th Heaven has a bar, library and common seating area. It also serves as the gallery.
The rooms are: Yellow (Monday) 22sqm with a king sized bed. Tuesday (Pink) 26sqm with a king sized bed. Wednesday (Green) 22sqm with twin beds. Thursday (Orange) 20sqm with twin beds. Friday (Blue) 26sqm with a king sized bed. Saturday (Purple) 26sqm with a king sized bed. All rooms are en-suite and feature free WiFi and iPOD docks.
